We will write Florida group health insurance for groups that consist of 4 or more full time, W2 employees. It is possible to get a group of 2 or 3 but most agents do not write it and many insurance carriers have stopped offering it.
If your group rates are too high, there are alternative solutions that will bring them down. Our "tricks" will not work in all situations, but we have saved many groups a substantial amount of money on their premiums.

Low-Cost Florida Group Health Insurance
There are literally thousands of insurance agents that will give you quotes for all of the well known group health insurance plans. You fill out a census and they send it in to the carrier, and in a day or two they get back your proposal.
If you contact ten agents, chances are you will get ten identical proposals. After all, they are all sending your identical information to the same clerk at the same carrier to be run with the exact same software. Unless you have a very large group( 100+), you cannot bargain for lower premiums.
So, if you have already gone through this futile exercise and the rates are still too high, maybe we can help.
What We Do and Why We Are Different
We take a different approach to group health insurance. We use lower-cost, higher deductible plans and pair them with low-cost supplements, Health Reimbursement Accounts and gap plans.
If your group is healthy with more than 25 eligible employees, we have insured self-funding arrangements that can be very cost effective.
We cannot always lower your premiums but it does not cost anything to find out.
Florida Group Health Insurance Plan Alternatives
Traditional group plans are not always the answer. If you have an essentially healthy group of employees, we can use private plans coupled with a premium only FSA or HRA plans. In case you were not aware of it, group health insurance is generally a lot more expensive than a private plan.
Again, we can create a custom solution for you.
Lower Florida Group Health Insurance Costs with an HRA (Health Reimbursement Arrangement)
It should be obvious to everyone that moving from a lower deductible to a higher deductible will bring down the cost of health insurance. However, you might have an employee mutiny on your hands. This is where the HRA comes in.
With an HRA you put money into a spending account for the employee. They use this money to pay for medical expenses, voluntary health insurance, etc. This is entirely employer funded and the unspent money is carried over and not lost. The funds belong to the employer and not the employee.
The HRA is authorized under section 105 of the Internal Revenue Code. The plan is usually set up to reimburse for medical expenses associated with a health plan like doctors visits, prescriptions, etc. The plan can be designed to reimburse for other expenses such as vision tests, dental, orthodontics, and much more. The great part about these plans are that you design them. You have complete control of all aspects of the plan.
There are many advantages to you, the employer.
First of all, you decide what you want to cover and how much you will pay out.
Second, you are not pre-funding an account where unused money goes to the employee.
Third, you do not have to administer anythng at all. The HRA is handled by a third party. They process all the claims for you.
Finally, the employee will feel secure with the higher deductible plan knowing that there is some assistance for routine medical expenses. The chances of them meeting deductibles is slim and you are benefiting from the reduced premiums.
