Group Health Insurance for Groups as Small as Two Employees

We no longer offer PEO plans in the state of Florida. Companies that offer PEO plans are looking for larger groups.

However, under certain circumstances, we will write traditional group health insurance plans for groups of two or three full time employees. We will require that you have another insurance product with us (i.e., dental, disability, life, etc.) before we write the plan.

The PEO plans for self-employed individuals are still offered through us for NY, NJ and CT only.

PEO Plans

A PEO is a Professional Employer Organization. It is an arrangement where you and/or your employees receive part of your monthly salary from the PEO. They are in effect, your co-employer.

You still work for your own company and outwardly nothing changes. However, since the PEO is your co-employer, you are entitled to participate in their benefit plans. This includes health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, a 401K plan, etc. All of the benefits are optional and you can pick and choose which benefits you want.

The PEO is licensed by the state of Florida to provide their services to Florida businesses. You can have a small group or be self-employed. However, you must be able to show that you are indeed operating a full time business.
